Temuera Morrison MNZM, born on 26 December 1960, is a renowned New Zealand actor who first gained recognition in his home country for his role as Dr. Hone Ropata in the soap opera Shortland Street. He garnered critical acclaim for starring as Jake The Muss Heke in the 1994 film Once Were Warriors and its 1999 sequel What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?. Morrison gained international fame through his roles in the Star Wars franchise, notably as Jango Fett and his clone offspring, including Boba Fett and the clone troopers. He debuted as Jango Fett in the 2002 Star Wars movie Attack of the Clones. He voiced Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back (2004 re-release) and video games, and later starred as Boba in The Mandalorian (2019–present) and The Book of Boba Fett (2021–2022). The black ops thriller Echo 3 featured Morrison in a recurring role in 2022. He provided the voice for Chief Tui, Moana's father, in the Disney film Moana (2016), as well as portraying Tom Curry, Arthur Curry's father, in DCEU films such as Aquaman (2018), The Flash (2023), and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023).
